Ir Dr. Raymond K.L. Chan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong (HKU, 1985), a Master’s degree in Building Services Engineering (HKU, 1995), and an Engineering Doctorate (City University of Hong Kong, 2010).

As a Chartered Engineer in both Hong Kong and the UK, Ir Dr. Chan is a Fellow Member of multiple prestigious organizations, including HKIE, CIBSE, IMechE, and HKAEE. His qualifications also include LEED AP from the USGBC, CEM and CBCP from USAEE, BEAM Pro from HKGBC, REA from EMSD of HKSAR, and he is a Certified ESG Planner.

Ir Dr. Chan has an impressive track record of leadership in the industry, having served as the Director of the Hong Kong Green Building Council (2014-2019), a Nominated Director of BEAM Society Limited (2014-2026), President of the Hong Kong Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Association (2004-2006), Vice President of the Hong Kong Federation of Electrical and Mechanical Contractors (2007-2009), President of the Hong Kong Association of Energy Engineers (2014-2018), and Chairman of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers – Hong Kong Region (2019-2020). Currently, he is the Immediate Past Chairman of the HKIE Environmental Division and an Advisor to the Committee on Environment & Sustainability of the Construction Industry Council and Group Business Development & Marketing Director of Worldwide Envision Centre.

My Sustainability Goals for 2025:

In the next three years, my focus will be on promoting a Command Centre—a unified platform for IoT solutions. This initiative will include the optimization of cooling systems to drive energy savings. By leveraging innovative technologies, we can enhance efficiency and significantly reduce our environmental impact while contributing to our sustainability goals.

Timothy Mak

Mr Timothy Mak is currently the market leader for Signify (formerly known as Philips Lighting) in Hong Kong and Macau, obtained a bachelor’s degree of Computer Science in University of London and has accumulated over 30 years of experience in the corporate communication system and information technology industry. He also entitled with management positions in Korea and Mainland China in his early years and has years of management experience across Asia Pacific regional. His last position was Managing Director of Avaya Hong Kong, which he was responsible for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

Mr. Timothy Mak expects Signify to be able to uphold the innovative concept and improve the lives of the public with innovative products under his leadership. Smart cities will become a general trend in the foreseeable future and Signify is expecting to establish a blueprint from this direction, and vigorously develops intelligent technologies into the public which makes a big step forward in the innovation lighting industry.

Sustainability Solutions Director

Jason Wong is the co-founder of V-ZAP, a wastewater bioengineering technology that introduces responsible sewage treatment by using advanced microbial solutions to break down fats, oils, and grease and control odour at the source. The technology helps property owners in Hong Kong address long-standing pain points such as clogged pipes, frequent suction truck use, and odour complaints, while supporting more sustainable facility management.

My Sustainability Goals for 2025:

  1. Responsible Sewage Treatment – Promote wider adoption of bioengineering solutions to reduce organic waste and odour in sewage systems, minimizing reliance on suction trucks and ensuring cleaner discharge water.
  2. Greener Urban Properties – Encourage property owners to adopt sustainable facility management practices that directly tackle long-standing pain points such as clogged pipes, odour, and excessive waste.
